“ This was by far the best meal we have had in France in our almost 8 years of living here. We made a detour on the spur of the moment and decided to wait for the restaurant to open at 7.30. The calm atmosphere, the calm service, and the superb food were just what we needed that evening. I gave the food 4 stars not because there was anything wrong with the flavour, but the petite pois and fennel shavings on our Merlu were slightly undercooked to where I left the fennel completely. The dish was otherwise excellent and the fish superbly cooked. The sauces were face-plant/lick the plate clean kind and the colours and textures of the food were sublime. The whole grain rolls were a bit heavy though tasty and we were glad of them to mop up the sauces. We chose the Menu Sauveurs and were delightfully surprised by each carefully chosen combination that appeared and loved how our hostess explained everything for our visual and eating pleasure. A standout was the stuffed courgette flowers and the sauce and creme were beyond description. The desserts were amazing. Fruit of choice 6-ways! I had Abricot and husband had Fraises. HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and we will return, many times. ”
